Tips for cleaning douchebag red interior?

I have been using Lexol ph balanced leather cleaner, warm water, and a basic dish towel to clean my coral red interior. I have been noticing that the color appears to be fading. Am I scrubbing too hard? Is Lexol the culprit? Should I not be using a dish towel?

Sorry for the #noob question. I've searched and haven't read any issues about the red interior fading while cleaning.

1. Apply a generous amount of hair gel to the seats and allow to sit in the sun for about an hour.
2. Then wipe dry.
3. Take it for a drive with the windows down and turn up some house music.
4. Be sure to fist pump vigorously for ten minutes or the gel will not cure and the leather could be ruined.

Swissvax Leather cleaner is AMAZING paired with their leather brush. It costs $$ though.

Dish towels are abrasive fyi. I like using a cotton sock or an mf towel. I also use lexol and works great for me.

Not gonna lie, lol'd

OP, I use 1z leather pfledge (something like that) and 1z deep plastic cleaner when I need to clean. Just note that I don't have a BMW, I have an Audi with leather but still red. Works great for me

FWIW, I've had amazing luck with Adam's Leather Conditioner. Easy to apply. Not streaky and doesn't leave the seats feeling greasy or oily. Start by cleaning the seats with a light misting of All Purpose Cleaner to decontaminate them.

Good luck!

My wife's 135i has that Lemon interior. Obviously a bit on the fragile side. But I have gotten best results use the Swissvax Leather Cleaner. I spray a little on a clean microfiber towel and clean the seats that way. Better results than all the others leather cleaners I have in my collection.
