Question E85/100 octane with Methanol injection

Goal: I want my get into the 11’s on stock intake and exhaust , currently I’m doing 12.3-12.4 on 100 octane

I’m getting methanol injection installed next week I’m trying to do my due diligence with the best fuel ratios to run.

I had good results with strait 100 octane to get mid 12’s = outrageous amount of low end torque.

Question 1: Is it worth running E85 and 100 octane blend instead of E85 and premium, has anyone tried it?

Question 2: I saw people in the 11’s run 100 octane with methanol injection, has anyone tried running E85 and meth? Or a combination of all three: Methanol injection, 100 octane and E85?

1) You will have a higher effective octane, and thus will have more power potential.
2) Yes, it's been done. Race fuel and ethanol mixes are generally done to get the same effect of a higher ethanol mix, without the heavy tax on the fuel system.

You will make the most power, safely, but just run straight E85 and forgoing fuel mixes. Also, methanol injection will be unnecessary. No reason a well tuned 335i running straight E85 can't break the current stock turbo record. The current stock turbo/no nos 335i record was set by a customer's FBO car running E50 plus meth over a year ago. Since then, we are making considerably more power without meth and just straight E85. And with fewer mods too.

A good set of DRs will help you cut a good 60' time which you'll need to break into the 11s. You also need to tune for it, just running high oct and not tuning won't do anything for you.

DR + LSD + a bunch of torque = snapped axels, no thanks.

I’m looking to get better tires, but it would be hilarious to run 11’s on 225 RFT’s

FWIW, you are more likely to break an axle with an open diff than an LSD.

Running a set of RFs and wheel hop = snapped axle. If you don't want advice why ask?

Drive shaft then?...
I have no clue...this the first car I ever owned that came with an open diff and I had to put an LSD…

I’m asking about fuel mixtures, he talks about tires…

If you don’t want to be ignored stick to the topic

Haven't seen any driveshaft failures and we've put over 700whp through them.

Also half shaft failures are due to wheel hop...Once I got a proper suspension setup and my diff lockdown kit to eliminate wheel hop, I am no longer concerned with snapped Half Shafts. Also I don't drag race...I have broken half shafts due to wheel hop driving on the street. Solid Diff bushings remedies the root problem.

Also Shiv has been flogging my car and my drivetrain seems to be healthy and strong.

*Thread Jack* sorry!
