Tein S-Tech on Xdrive? Misewell!
I know while I was shopping for springs, no one had any pics of an Xdrive on Tein S-Techs, so I figured I'd chime in and show some pics of what it all looks like installed and settled in. I believe they advertise a 2.0" drop, and overall I'm more than happy with the setup.
On harsh road defects, you can definitely tell that it's lowered (I'm on OEM shocks currently), but overall I don't find the ride to be any worse than it was stock. There's definitely a case to be made for aftermarket shocks here, as you can tell that the higher spring rates are stressing the OEM dampers, but it's not uncomfortable by any means. Handling, naturally, has been much improved, but the car would definitely benefit from a larger rear sway bar and a set of Koni's. Sport wheels have 20mm spacers on the rear, no rubbing. I ordered a set of 5mm spacers that are not installed in these pics, but I installed them last night and again, no rubbing. On to the pics! These were taken prior to my carbon CSL style spoiler and Aero package front lip being installed, but since they're more for reference of the S-Tech drop, this will have to do for now! |

Looks good!
Like EyeGuy said it doesn't look like there's much rake at all which tends to be uncommon with a spring setup. Are you going to upgrade the rear sway??

I plan to do a rear sway, but I think I may buy a tune first! |
