Meth flow causing 2D59 error

I've got an Aquamist HFS-4 system on my PTF tuned FBO RB'd 335i.

In 3rd gear when meth flows I get the following error code and the car ends up going to limp mode and revs fluctuate up and down until the car cuts out:

2D59 - DME digital motor electronics, internal failure: control actual torque

On the same map (it is my 99RON daily), it runs perfectly with the HFS-4 gauge turned off (DHB is unlinked so the failsafe is disable with gauge off)

I've read on here that this error is linked to high meth flow but no other info on it. I am currently running 0.9cc and 1.0cc nozzles in the lower intercooler pipe and charge pipe.

Many thanks

Idnan

try turning the thres up slightly and maybe back off on gain slightly and see if that works for you. I have not heard of this code but I do know you can get ses lights if the thres is to low .dumps to much fuel to early in the power band I believe .

you hit the torque limiter... probably made more power with methanol that's all. hit up PTF they should fix it for you. Also I don;t know when you tuned it, but if it's getting colder now it could happen. either way very easy fix.

make sure to send a log where that happens or else they won't be able to fix anything

You running meth too?

I've backed off the gain and upped the threshold for now so will try that and see if I still get it.

It happens low down in the rev range like 3k or below so I feel that it is way too much meth down low like cwarren mentioned

No meth, tuned on 50/50 mix stacked with procede. Mine happened twice when in 6th below 3k when at 20-30% throttle.

I was in your shoes when I had my old car. FBO with meth, e85 and all the bells and whistles.

you crossed the torque limiter... fix is easy. backing off the gain will slow down the ramp of methanol injection after the trigger ...
what you need to so is fix the tune to allow for that much load or reduce the load.
if iat s were higher you d probably not trigger it (less dense ) but that's not the solution
