Any experience with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires ?

Hi,

I am looking to replace my tires and I read about these new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires. Does anyone have experience with them ? The reviewers say that they are better than some average to good summer tires, so I figured I could save some money and hassle of having two sets of wheels or two sets of tires. We have about 4 months of bad weather here.

I am interested in the summer dry grip mostly, as I have a heavily tuned 335i. I read that lateral grip is good, but how is the straight line grip ? Any opinions ? I'm not looking for Michelin PSS-type performance, but I also don't want to spin tires at every take-off from the traffic lights.

Also, any experience with Michelin A/S Plus in the winter ? I read that the A/S 3 are similar to A/S Plus in snow, and I don't think anyone has experience with the A/S 3 in snow yet.

I have some Continental DWS tires on the front, I like the convenience of A/S tires but they are very bad, much too soft and the dry braking performance is seriously sub-par. But at least they are light.

PS: I would be grateful if you could keep this thread about the performance of these tires and not about the damn road noise about which I found countless useless posts on this forum. I don't care about the noise, I have a performance-oriented BMW and I'm not 70 years old.
