HELP! How to change E90 LCI headliner + pillars
Hi,
I'm a newbie to the forum but I have been reading stuff on here for a while. I'm having difficulty finding what I want so sorry if this is the wrong place. I've recently got a BMW 2010 3 series e90 and just bought the m3 headliner with pillars etc... Do you know how I can install it in my car? I really don't like the grey fabric look. I have found a few forums but nothing too great on how to remove the a and c pillars with airbags. I found one for the e92 but is very diffrent for my car, dont want any misshaps. I even asked my BMW dealer coopers of croydon and said we cant give advise as i have to take out my windscreen!!! they would do it for £500 If someone has done this before please can you advise? Or a step by step guide. Thanks |

There is a DIY on the forum here. No you don't have to take out the glass. It's definitely do-able w o removing it. The a pillars have a torx screw at the top behind the little gray clip that says airbag on it. Then there's a few clips that hold it on. Same as the c pillar. One screw and the rest clips. The b pillar is strictly held on w clips. No screws but you need to remove the kick and scuff plates to take it out. Hope this helps and it's definitely a do-able task w o having to lighten your wallet at the dealer.
Good luck

Thanks for the reply, is it safe to remove with the airbag? Also do you know where I can find the DIY section to remove the scuff plates. Thanks again
