[Benny 318d]

Afternoon all,

The day had come for me to px my beloved 130i again (long story for another day!! basically owned the same car twice), but to ease the pain I had found this lovely 318d M sport business edition. It had 50k on the clock fbmwsh and 4 months BMW warranty left, It was from a jaguar dealer in Manchester and I was offered such a good deal if completed by the end of July I couldn't say no.

The car has the usual business edition goodies with the added options of Pro Nav, electric folding mirrors, heated seats and usb in the centre arm rest.

I was worried about the performance as I have previously owned a 3dr 120d and a pre LCI E90 320d but as it turns out it is fine for day to day driving and 50 MPG cant be grumbled at with the 130i doing around the 25 mpg mark.


MODS SO FAR.


So far I have added a m3 spoiler which I think finishes the back end off nicely, I have had the wheels powder coated in satin black and put performance front grills on.

Opinion has been divided on the wheels with some preferring the standard silver and others the black, but I love them and think they give the car a bit more presence.


MODS IN THE NEAR FUTURE.


In the near future I plan to add the following,


Alpine upgrade, my last few cars before buying the 130i again have been new (lesson learnt on the buying new front) and I have upgraded the Hi-Fi, whilst I don't think the standard stereo is as bad as some people make out it is lacking a little. I plan to get the alpine kit and hopefully find a set of logic7 subs. I have 2 part numbers for the kit, does anyone know the correct one for the LCI model and where's the best place to find some subs as I don't fancy paying dealer prices!!

Next is a sliding arm rest, I'm keeping an eye on eBay for one and finally will be the black chrome exhaust trim from the sport plus edition.


POSSIBLE MODS IN THE FUTURE.


Xenon headlight retrofit- My last few cars have all had xenon's and while I think they are a great option when new I'm trying to gauge if the retrofit price is worth the benefit! I was trying to find a e90 with them fitted but got such a good deal on this one it would have been silly to turn it down over lights. I have had a price from a BMW indie in Huddersfield of around 2k inc headlight washers, opinions on this either way would be appreciated.

Have managed to get all parts bar a few at the moment and has cost me £470.

Is it the E91 your doing the retrofit on? Love the e91 but the Mrs says no How's the retrofit going? have you started it yet, I don't think I would dare have a go myself!!

Thanks mate, I know what you mean about it looking lower but its just on standard suspension!

Thanks mate, I've tried to keep it simple, nothing to over the top.
Yeah the spoiler is from eBay, paint match is spot on and it arrived in 5 days which was a bonus.

I originally got a link from this site, I contacted the seller asking for my colour and he said he would put a link on eBay the next day for a spoiler in the right colour. A spoiler was on eBay the next day in my colour but from a different seller! I have a feeling that they all come from the same place.
No complaints with the spoiler or service/delivery though.
