Halfrauds bulbs

Has anyone used the halfrauds xenon bulb at all or know anyone that has, not my car but an Audi A5 has the xenon gone and needs replacement, with my trade card it's the cheapest place £47 and apparently made by Bosch?

Recommendations would be good!

Don't do it! We have an A4 as well and needed to replace a Xenon lamp earlier in the year. Helfrauds listed a replacement and we went down and asked them to fit it too... Long and short they made a right mess of the car when removing the headlight only to discover it wasn't the right lamp (D2S) and we needed a D1S which they don't stock and can't supply! Shortly followed buy more man handling and damage to our car as they forced the headlight back in!

I'm fairly certain the A5 will use the same lamp as the A4 so strongly suggest you avoid Helfrauds!

We ended up paying £120 (heavily discounted due to other issues) with Audi and Halfords gave me a £50 gift voucher and sorted the paint damage at their cost.

Thanks, I feared the worst, I would never ever ever trust those bunch to touch my car or anyone I knows car, so your a4 needed a D1s... Hmm I have been told I need a D3S for the A5, guess I just wait till I have the car delivered to me and I can check? Thanks for the info!

I bought D1S headlamps from halfords earlier this year.

They were reduced from £110 to £55 each. They are made by GE so a good brand.

It was a hassle to get them as stock levels were always wrong.

At £10 per light to fit, I did choose that option, but they refused to do so.

Ended up doing it myself and the E92 isn't the easiest car to fit the bulbs. By the time you jack the car up and remove the inner wheel arch, you should set aside 2 hours to do it.

Eurocarparts show up the A5 as using D3S bulbs.

They are £140 each though for Phillips.
