Adding a Button to Heated Seats/Hill Descent Panel?
I want to take out one of the "blanks" and add a button that will mute my radar detector (escort redline). Similiar to the hill descent button, I dont want to get rid of mine since I own a xdrive. Now I have the smartcord from Escort and I have minimal concerns about adapting the button but I'm not sure if they individually remove or I need to find a panel with a 4th button. Has anyone done anything like this or have experience with removing those buttons?

Doing a rear fog retrofit with some guys on here. We normally break 4 tabs under the button on the light switch itself. Maybe you could take that panel off and see if the same applies here. Would be awesome to retain those for an OEM feel while use it for something else.

eh.....that whole thing is one assembly....on a single circuit board. You are going to have to do some serious custom work to make that happen, I doubt you will find anything as simple as dropping in a switch. Pull it out and look at it and you will see what I mean.
