Question about US customs and buying wheels from private seller in Canada
Have any of you ever gone to Canada and bought wheels from a private seller? I'm planning on doing that, but I'm wondering about when I return back to the US if I have to pay any customs taxes? I plan on telling them that I bought the wheels in Canada. I just want to be prepared in case I have to pay something.

You dont declare you risk yourself of getting black listed whenever you cross the border and getting fined.
Check the border website to know how much you can bring back to the US without getting taxed or dutied. |

There are different rules depending upon how long you're gone. If you're under 48 hours, you may have to pay some duty. But it's not going to be much. Definitely declare them.
Good thing: no VAT, no home state sales tax. |

I guess there would be no charge on anything if you went there to sell them, the guy changed his mind, and you are just coming home...
