Search and you will find the answer is "KW"

Variant 3 with height, rebound plus compression adjustability
Variant 2 is most common with height plus rebound
Variant 1 works great with height adjustability if you tuning your suspension is not neccessary

I dont think there is one "best suspension" for the E9x. It all depends on what your budget is and what you're looking for (whether performance or ride quality). So you could go with a shocks & springs combo or coilovers. Let us know what you need and we'll take care of it for you

Brands such as Bilstein, KW Varient, and TC Kline frequently appear as favorites.

KWV3 but i'm biased. Depends on how much you want to spend and how/where you plan to drive - street/track?

My taste is a little more conservative. I went with the Eibach/Koni FSD combo. It lowers about an inch, and the ride is as nice as stock. The big improvment was going with a set of H&R sway bars.

Tell us what your priorities are -- ride comfort, performance handling, or looks, etc., and we can provide more helpful advice.

What would you suggest if I was looking for a drop to fit my wheels (which I haven't decided on yet...they're probably gonna be 265/30 in the rear and 235/35 in the front with 19s though) and I wanted to be sure that it rides as comfortably as stock with maybe a bit better performance handling?

If you find nothing wrong with the stock suspension, that the factory suspension is the best.
