e90 Pop-Up boot lid conversion
For any e90 owners wanting their boot lid to pop open when unlocking, here is a link to a guy doing conversions (Scottfree3 - bottom of the page) - he does a e46 conversion and is considering an e90 version.
Linky If I've broken any forum rules by posting this apologies and please remove |

That's a mod I won't be doing. You sit on your keys by accident, next thing you press the boot button whilst in your pocket, boot flies open. If your boot items don't get nicked they get soaked without you knowing. It's one of the downsides on the F30.

^^^ I did that. Dropped all the windows in the pouring down rain. Didn't realise until I went out about an hour and half later to find it soaked inside!

How do you end up sitting on your keys?
Unless ofc you keep your keys in your back pocket in which case it's like sitting on a small rock everytime you sit down :/ |

(Like you do...) for a little longer you'd end up rolling your windows down & soaking the whole interior! You best stick with your e90 forever then as most new cars come with this feature. |

On my old e46 320d compact I changed the struts to the more powerful ones so that it would open automatically when the button was pushed. I saw my other half drive off with the boot open once though but it was a useful mod. |

The guy referred to in the original post (check Linky: Scottfreee3) was proposing to make a custom kit comprising a collar & spring for the damper plus new bump stops, your best bet is to get in touch with him.
