Front wheel vibration

Noticed vibration recently thru the steering wheel and when pressing brake at higher speeds on mway. Had the front wheels re balanced and is slightly better but still some vibration. Noticed some play in 1 front wheel when pushed front to back.was thinking that control arm bushes maybe bad. Had alook with wheel off and couldn't see anything loose but not sure how much movement there should be in the control arm bushes. Appreciate any help with this issue.

you shouldn't be able to move the front wheel at all in any direction other than rotation - if you can feel it, it needs to be found and fixed...

If you jacked up the car and found some play while the wheel was properly torqued then you might need a new wheel bearing.

Worth getting it checked out

Please do not try and diagnose suspension problems with out seeing the car. What is more common is worn thrust arm bushings. Can also be tie rod, ball joint, worn strut plate, anything. Don't send him on a goose chase.

OP, if you jam the brake at 20 mph or so and feel and hear a thud, your bushings are worn out. Once they are gone, the slightest vibration that you normally would not feel, you will. Most of the time, a wheel bearing will growl if bad and be that loose. If you are over 75k miles, getting do for the bushings since they are a wear item.
