Anyone know where to buy this part for the M tech bumper? (pics)
I recently got this rear bumper (because someone decided to hit me and take off) and I noticed these 2 holes on each side. What goes there and where do I find the part to buy?
![]() I originally had a replica M3 bumper and when I saw the guy put this one on I almost cried, but after 5 mins and him showing me difference in quality, I felt better (the M3 replica I had was complete junk) Thanks guys. B ![]() |

I have that diffuser as well. Mine is OEM ordered from getbmwparts.com. Mine doesn't have those holes it that area. It came with black stickers to put on that part of the diffuser. Not sure if you can order just the stickers but it's worth asking. Is that one OEM or replica? The fit looks off.

the guy had a receipt from the local BMW dealership but it doesn't look like it should be a sticker, it looks like it should be plastic clipped in.
I haven't really seen too many with the two slots like this which made me wounder is this OEM or replica? So can I just walk into BMW and ask them for these parts? Thanks for the response |

It almost looks like it is drilled to mount reflectors, wonder if there is a version that has reflectors in some market or maybe the earlier ones had a plastic insert that they cheaped down to a decal on the newer ones?

Wow thanks for the great info guys....so here's the story...
I had a replica M3 bumper that I purchased for pretty cheap a few years ago. It was a crappy replica and it took a lot of work to fit it to my car, never again. I always park super far in every parking lot. One day I went to a restaurant with my mother and I drove. I found it weird that an old lady with a dodge caravan was parking across from me when she could barely walk but didn't think anything of it. So when I came out of the restaurant I found my rear replica M3 bumper smashed. So since I was paying for this myself I told my buddy that I wanted the bumper fixed, he told me that the bumper was crack all over the place and the bumper was sh|t anyways, so he said just get a new bumper and I wont charge you to spray it or put it on, so I trusted him. A few days later I get to his shop and see this bumper and say WTF!?!? its not M3? (I kinda like the mesh hehe) He told me that he rather get BMW parts because he knows they fit proper and there no mickey mouse with the fitment. I have to admit, I HATED the bumper, but now I actually like it more then my other one, and knowing it fits perfect makes me happy. He said the diffuser was from BMW but they only gave him the middle piece and not the sides. So to be honest, I don't even know what kind of bumper / kit this is because I was expecting another cheap M3 rear lol Yes its an E90 B ![]() |

Just cut some CF Vinyl pieces to fit in there and stick them in there!

When you hear what they want for anything they might have, you just might change your mind! :>)

I have that diffuser as well but for a 335. I had to buy two covers that I believe clipped into those holes (granted this was a few years ago so I dont remember 100%). This is the the bumper I have from the website:
OEM BWM Performance E90 & E90 LCI Rear Aero Pack. Kit includes bumper, diffusor, guides, covers, and body nuts. (rear diffusor pack not required as it's included with this kit) 335i's must also order inserts 51718044575 and 51718044576. All non-335i's must order panel for activated carbon filter 51717070141. The inserts are really cheap, only $7 each or something like that. Maybe you can see if your local dealer has them and if they would fit. I dont remember reading anywhere that they were needed for a non-335 though, but your pics definitely looked like mine did without them attached (again, based on my memory from a few years ago).
