Suspension crash! Any AWD guys have Koni FSD's? Any good?
I am on a quest to improve the handling and comfort of my 335i xdrive coupe and have already done allot but I have a few complaints that I would love solved. I started out with Bilsteins and H&R springs. The car handled better but the rear was too low and it drove like utter crap on any roads that were less than perfect. I then swapped the H&R springs with the Eibach "i" springs and the comfort was much improved and the drop was perfect. I then added the M3 rear subframe bushings and M3 rear sway and the cars balance and stability is amazing.
I now have 2 remaining complaints. While softer with the eibachs the bilsteins still BANG really hard on deep bumps on the road. Would the Koni FSD's or any other shock eliminate the front end crash on the road? My friend has a 1 series and over bumps his car is way better. I also hate, hate, hate the steering ratio/response on the Xi/Xdrive. I want a more twitchy, sensitive, quick response when turning my wheel. I know the "i" steering column has a better ratio than the xi, and the M column is even better than both but I understand that you cannot swap the columns. Is their any solution for this. I would pay allot for this because it would make this car perfect. I want the quick steering feel of my EvoVII and S2000. Is it a pipe dream? Last edited by SaviorXi; 10-02-2013 at 08:48 PM.. |
