Bilstien B6/B8 and the Koni
So bilstien's PSS (heavy duty) B6 shocks are the only ones available for the 3 series so far. But I read this:
"B6 or B8 Sprint? B6 - Ideal upgrade for standard dampers, all the benefits of B8, designed to work with standard ride height and up to 30mm lowering. Tell me more about B6 dampers... B8 - Specially designed for lowered sport vehicles. It’s a must when sports springs are used with lowering of 30-40 mm or more. Shortened unit gives less droop and more predictable control of over/undesteer and sharper responses. (In some cases only B6 will be listed.) Tell me more about B8 dampers." The H&R sport springs lower the front by about 33mm and the rear by about 32mm. So does this mean we shouldnt use the Bilstien B6 shocks (which are the only ones available for the E92) with lowering springs since the website says that they CAN be used with lowering up to 30mm and the H&R sport springs go a tad bit lower then that? My question is this, with H&R sport springs are the Bilstien PSS B6 shocks ok to use for a good ride, or not. And if not, then it looks like i'll be going with the Koni sports. Oh and BTW, i needed something to catch your attention to get you to read this thread, so that explains the title......sorry, but how else would i have gotten you to read this and possibly help me.

I think Chowbow just put Bilstein HD on his car and loves it.

i know, its dumb as hell but whatever. Yes Chowbow i read that you do have the HD's BUT you have them with the Eibach springs.....not the H&R sports. My original post says that the HD's are for lowering up to a 30mm drop, but the H&R's are about a 32-33mm drop. Your eibach's are probably either at 30mm or just under so its ok. So that was my whole question, weather it'd be ok to use the HD's or not since my lowering is a tiny bit more then their recomended range.

And nobody has posted about running H&Rs + Bilsteins. Searched in all the forums and found nothing. As I said in the other thread, install them and let us know how it works.

As an FYI, the Koni Sports are net yet available for the 335i (SPORT PACKAGE). They are still in testing and should be completed within the next couple of months. The only Koni shock/strut available for the 335i (w/ Sport Package) is the FSD (the new one).
