Muffler Delete in Westchester, NY
I'm hoping to do a muffler delete for my 2007 E90 328xi. I was wondering if anyone has done a muffler delete in the New York area and if they could recommend a shop to do it? Obviously I'm hoping for a place that is a good price and good quality, any suggestions would be great.

Well, go find your neighborhood 16 year old kid with a honda. And have him drive by, shift into 2nd, and floor it. That's what it will sound like haha. On a serious note, there were definitely low end torque losses and high end horsepower gains. Very small but noticeable. It does sound extremely good once you get past 4k rpms, but below that, horrible.

I disagree, I got mine done, then again mine is a N51 so the exhaust is a little different I believe. But it sounds angelic 4K-6K

In my opinion, the 4-6k range sounds better than some of the more expensive aftermarket products out there. But the 1-4k range (on the N52 at least) is horrible. It's a love hate relationship. I'm in disgust with my car until 4k then I'm in love. The N51 probably has a slightly more modified exhaust to help with emissions, so removing the muffler probably has a less dramatic effect on some parts (just a guess).
