Time to put winters on yet in the GTA?

This weekend has been cold, but the past week has been pretty hot during the daytime. I'm itching to try out my new aluminum racing jack, but don't wanna jump the gun too soon.

I bought a heavy rubber wheel chock this year.. never used them before, always just stuck a spare tire behind the wheels. Is it true you use it behind the parallel rear tire when jacking the front, and in front of the parallel front tire when jacking the rear? I suppose always putting a spare tire behind the rear parallel, regardless of jack position, might have been wrong for me all these years.

to be honest you don't even need a chock if your on flat ground.

I wont be changing over to Winter tires until the average daily temperature gets below 8 degrees. Now if you drive mainly through the late night or early morning hours, it is getting allot colder quicker. I would figure another month before i switch over weather dependant of course.

I'm thinking either next weekend, or the weekend after.. seems to be getting cold enough. I took mine and my wife's tires down from the garage mezzanine this weekend, which is half the battle.

I was going to ask this same question. Is it really that time? I'm thinking in the next couple weeks. I leave for work at 7:00AM and the roads can get pretty slick with those POS runflats.

for me once daytime temp constantly goes below 10C its time for winters, although snow can be late I would not like to be caught in fall snow with my summers on.

I just put mine on in the garage.. the lug guide thingy I bought sucks balls, it's easier to just hold the wheel in place and put the lugs on. ah well.
