Power fold mirrors

Hi there,

Is there anyway of telling if a mirror set is power folding without taking the back cover off?!

I have bought what I was told are auto fold and auto dim but I'm sure they are only auto dim not power fold!

Power fold will have a 3 pin plug. Standard have 5 pin

Perfect! it has a 3 pin plug! I have most certainly got power fold mirrors then!

There are some versions which have 3 pins but non-folding.

Is there anyway of checking?! Or will I just have to pop the cover off and look if there is a motor then?!

It's probably abit tough to get them off when the mirror isn't on the car ha!

I guess you will have to take the cover off.
Well I struggled to take the cover off with the mirrors on the car. So I can imagine what you are saying.

The only way to tell is to take the cover off & see if the motor is there.

It's so easy to remove the covers, even when off the car - just pull from underneath!

My previous non auto folding mirrors had 3 pins!

The real question is - does your current mirrors have 3 or 5 pins!?

the proper way to remove the cover is to remove the glass first then release the catches on the cover, always worried about breaking the glass though!

i got these m3 mirrors thinking theyre not powerfold
how do i know if they are

They are non power fold!

They have no folding motor
