HID Foglight malfunction. Will coding fix?

I installed HID fog lights And when I turn them on they stay on for a few minutes but when I start the car they shut off.

Even when the cars off when I try to turn them on they will turn on and turn back off quickly.

It says that the left and right lamp are malfunctioning. I know that there has to be a resistor or something because the DME is seeing less voltage.

There is a guy in my area that does various forms of coding and map updates. He can make my windows rollup by locking the car doors with the fobb And a lot more.

Can I have him code the DME so that it doesn't check the voltage on the fog lights? Thus solving my problem.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Maybe just cold and warm bulbs check will resolve this issue?

It is possible to disable bulb ckecking when you turn on the car and lights.
If you have K+dcan cable it can be done. If not you should buy one. I can send you a software to use with it.

I think it is not necessary, you can code it out using k+dcan cable and NCS EXPERT.

I just don't want to spend $100+ On a cable.

Do you have links for the cable and the software? Is a software Mac compatible?

I take it with the software and cable combo I will be able to program my windows to roll up when I lock the car and other various things right?

I used error cancelers with my HID fog lights since February and haven't had an issue since I installed them. Even with coding out the bulb check, capacitors always needed to be installed to get them running.

Coding will not help. You will need cancelers .....

These don't offer a H8.

So I Installed The harness that I linked above. The HID fog lights turned on and stayed on no problem.

I accidentally left the lights on for too long and left the door open after a couple of hours the battery died.

I went to fire the car up, everything was working nine. At this time I didn't know the batteries dead and the interior light was on. I went to start the car and it wouldn't turn over, everything started blinking and flashing and clicking because the battery was too weak the headlights kept going on and off and then I realized I had to jump the car. So I pulled my other car up and hooked up the jumper cables. After about five minutes I was able to get the car started but I could hear the drain that I was putting on my other car.

Now I'm getting lighting system failure messages. Check my other thread that I started, we are thinking my FRM module is shot.

Can a very dead battery and flickering cause the FRM module to go?

I wouldn't think that it would be the harness that I installed as many people on these boards are using homemade capacitors and I bought a well built kit.

Any thoughts?

If I am to try and see if it's just error codes what am I looking for?
