Help!!!!!!cant Get The V2 Firmware To Open W/vista

Someone please help me. i have installed the V2 upgrade and cant get the frickin firmware to load onto my computer.

What part can't you get to work. The V2 Software program itself, or are you inside that program and it's not loading the firmware file?

Wait when you get V1 or V2 you have to upload the map from your computer its not already preprogrammed??

It's programmed with the firmware from 1.4x, when you get the V2 upgrade you have to upgrade the firmware, and then load the map.

You might have to run the app in compatibility mode. Right click on the actual executable and see if you can run the app in compability with WinXP.

I thought a .bin file was for burning with Nero etc? Such as a bin/cue file.

I wasn't aware that you could "unzip" those types of files..

you should be able to just open it directly with the Software if i'm not mistaken

you unzip the .bin file, then once inside the PROcede software, go to the "Comm" menu and select "Firmware Update". You will now be prompted for a firmware file. Select the v2 firmware file (pro02v01) that you extracted to your desktop. Then select "Start". PM me if u need help

I am officially a retard.... 4 hour install. But what I did realize is that software and maps work just fine with Vista... I still hate it though...

Thanks to all that helped me out.... All said and done. Its worth it. The V2 is badASS!!!!! Just went out for a few runs.....Time to go to bed.

you need to upload the program the zipping program stated from the installation instructions. i think its something like winwar or something...i had the same problem till i unzipped it with this program...works better than winzip

Hey SDWILLY, I am having the exact same problem with my vista. I am just trying to unzip the the files for prepping. The V2 Reader unzipped fine with winrar but the firmware will not. I searched microsoft for the application and no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

screw winrar, download or use winzip, douple click on the "setup" application file, not the inst321.EX_.

That's what I ended up doind and it worked fine.

While WinRar is nice it's really not needed in this case, Vista works with Zip files just fine (XP will as well). Just open the Zip file, and click "Extract all Files" on the toolbar, or my prefered method, just drag the file to the desktop. Once it's extracted you should be able to load it with the Procede reader program.
