320D Pre-LCI & LCI Intercooler differences?

Hello.

I'm currently looking into upgraded intercooler kits for my pre-LCI E90 320D. Most of the reputable kits are only available for the 177HP model, but checking on RealOEM, there doesn't seem to be much difference, even some of the clips are identical. I think it might be slightly different sizing on one side, but could this be allowed for using silicone joiners?

Anyone with any experiences, I would love to hear them.

Thanks!

Similarly, if anyone has previously fitted a Forge FMIC to a Pre-LCI 163HP E90 if you can let me know what changes had to be made?

You're probably best off emailing Forge, they're really helpful (and may give you a SH discount ). But I can't imagine it would need modification to fit, they like to make it fit without.

Forge's FMIC is for the 177HP N47 engine, but we're unsure of how different the intercoolers are on both models. They don't have a stock 163HP FMIC to hand so we're trying to figure out the variances if possible.

I might be up there soon, if they want to measure mine? Wouldn't mind waiting around.
