Spark plugs

I have an 06 bmw 325i.

I'm at 94k miles and it's time for new spark plugs.
Which ones should I go for? E3? Ngk? Bosch?

Any proformence or better mpg?

get whatever was recommended for your car. I think both NGK and Bosch came in our cars tho. honestly, you probably won't notice, unless you get some off-the-wall plug with the wrong gap and heat range.

fwiw, I re-did mine with NGK platinums. they work just fine.

When I changed mine, I used Bosch.

Ngk 5992's are $10.99 on amazon. Best price I found for sure.... Don't forget the slim wall plug socket

Get what your car had, and preferably Iridium plugs - there's quite a lot of discussion regarding this on the DIY thread to replace spark plugs on this forum...

I have been looking into changing my plugs as well. After a lot of reading it looks like BME OEM is both NGK and Bosch. I went with NGK Iridium. Hope to do mine next week but am awaiting coils (back ordered).

The original plugs that my car had were BMW branded NGK's, but was not willing to pay what the agents wanted, and the same plugs from an auto spares shop was almost the same price, but the Bosch plugs were considerably cheaper, and since I was replacing more because of a pinging issue it was the most sensible choice, and they work fine...

My advice is to just get the original plugs sold by BMW. Tischer has them for a decent price. I've replaced my twice now ay 100K and 200K and did not have any post-installation issues (as I have read other people have using non-OE plugs). And you don't need a thin-walled socket; that's just for the N54's, the N52 plugs can be changed using a standard Craftsman spark plug socket.

Got LFR6AIX-11 from advance auto with stacked coupons for around $5 each. Works perfectly on the n52.

Some Bosch plugs need 12point sockets. Mine, new and old, are all NGK with 6point sockets. So if you have a 14mm 12 point spark plug socket you will be fine.
