poor throttle reaponse- is there a limp mode?
hi-
have an e91 MT with 71k miles with no issues thus far. However this morning outside temp was mid 30s. 2 things noted: -throttle response was terrible. at leasr a 1 second delay for any response and impossible to heel-toe at all because of this. -fan was running almost immediately despite it being cold. No CEL and 3hrs later car is back to normal with no fan sound and throttle back to normal. Any thoughts? Thanks

the fan may run crazy like that during intermittent water pump failure. I don't remember the throttle response being much different though.
intermittent pump failure will store a code though, so maybe see if you can get your codes read somewhere. |

There is a limp mode. Should have a light display in the dash something like an engine that is half shaded in yellow.
