Any way to fix/hide micro-swirls and pits in my windshield?
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has experience with correcting defects in windshields. After a bunch of highway driving and using the windshield wipers, my windshield is starting to show some swirls and a lot of very tiny pits. These are really only visible at night, but they still bother me. I am baffled as to how the swirls appeared in the windshield. I wash the car properly once a week and always clean the wiper blades. I don't want the problem to worsen, and have it begin to impact visibility. Is there a way to correct or hide these defects, without getting a new windshield? Thanks! -MG

zano makes a glass polish. I know its mainly designed for removing anything from glass but i bet it will help your issue.
Have you tried a polish or compound?

Thanks, I'll look up that product. Haven't yet, because I am away at school and don't have access to my orbital polisher. I would think tackling this by hand would be a waste of time.

You can use a glass polish with your DA polisher and a glass polishing pad (important) and then seal it with some G-tecniq stuff. Should help a lot and you wont have to use the wipers at all. That stuff is amazing.

Thanks, I'll try that as soon as I can. Right now I've been putting Griots glass sealant on it every few washes, and I'll look up the g-techniq stuff. Trying to avoid replacing the glass, but it'll likely happen eventually.
