E92 M-Tech kit install finally finished!!
After weeks of part number matching, body shop visiting and even learning a bit of German, my oem m-tech kit is finally on and it was WELL worth the wait. First off, let me start by saying that Lewis at MW Design was my provider for the kit. Although we may have had a few hiccups along the way, when the going got tough he really came through for his customer with dedicated and professional service that was much appreciated. So if you're reading this Lewis, a big
![]() As for the kit, prospective buyers should take heed before they purchase. I was not aware, and apparently neither was Lewis, that there were two type of kits, one for the non-turbo models such as the 320 and the 328(without oil cooler), and one for the 335's. Well long story short, I got the wrong parts and had to go as far as calling various places in germany to get the right part numbers for their corresponding parts. In the end, all the right parts were delivered and installed without having to do any cutting, welding or chopping. So if you order now, I'm sure it won't be an issue anymore as long as you specify which model you have. After all was said and done, everything fit the way it should be, an OEM bolt on kit that looks absolutely incredible in person. Pictures do not do it justice but hey, they're worth a shot...errr(no pun intended)...Enjoy!!! Btw, I'm still a newbie with my D40 so take pity on my amateur shooting... |

Thanks for the pics! I'm glad the 335 fitment issues finally got ironed out.
Why'd you decide to paint the rear bumper insert? |

First of all, thank you sooo much for posting pics because I'm considering doing the same thing and I've wondered how it would look on this color combo(exact same as I have on order). Now I know I have to order the kit. Secondly, it looks SWEET! Thanks again for the pics as they will be my motivation to order it now!

Thanks guys. I decided to paint the rear diffuser for that "oem" look, and to be unique. I didn't really like the quality and texture of the black plastic unpainted. It kinda looked cheap up close.
Orientblue3- from your sig, it seems like your getting sparkling graphite. Mine is space grey, which is a bit lighter than yours. I personally think it would look even nicer on your color. One thing I really like about the rear bumper is that it's more rounded on the bottom. You can see the difference between stock when viewing at a profile shot. It fills up the back much nicer and looks a bit beefier instead of tapering off. All in all, I love the way it looks and in person, it's 10x better. |

Doug,
We are extremely glad to hear that everything worked out fine. Its our job to make sure your purchase is as painless as possible and we appreciate the help/patience you have given us. The kit turned out great and the painted rear diffuser looks good as well. So what's next on the list for the E92? |

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the comments. As far as the price, Lewis from MWDesign should have a better idea regarding current pricing. He's a couple of posts up. Very good dealer to work with.
Lewis, it looks like my wheels are the next thing to go. And I'm also thinking about dropping it to compliment the new wheels. Just can't decide on the "perfect" wheels for this car yet. Oh well, this kit should hold me off for a bit...hopefully. |

nice! thanks.
you mean the bumper itself is different on other non-turbo models? on etk it says that they all use part no. 51118041200 did you have to change air ducts, and fender liners?

I bought mine from MW Design too. Mine was one of the very first one ordered and shipment was delayed about a month because MW Design had to figure out some of the specific parts. At the end all the parts were correct when I receive them. My body shop said they had a bit of a struggle fitting the front bumper around the turbo intercooler but they got it done. Here are some pics of mine:
