If you go too bright then they will be no good in fog, ever tried using full beam in fog? Not a good experience. That's assuming of course you use them for driving in the fog!

I'm using Osram Night Breaker bulbs, they get good reviews and do give a reasonable improvement over oem. I suspect that you won't get much better with halogen bulbs. Could always go down the HID route but not easy to do legally by all accounts.

The problem with getting higher powered bulbs ie ones greater than 55w is that firstly they will draw more current and blow fuses, secondly they give off more heat which could potentially melt your plastic headlamp.

Last night I was followed through Manchester by something like a Mitsubishi L200 with headlights, fog lights & a whole load of other lights all blazing, it was like being stalked by Blackpool illuminations, ridiculous Last edited by IanS100; 11-06-2013 at 03:50 AM.. Reason: . |
