Carbon fiber vinyl, on my hood?
Ok, i recently expiremented with vinyl on my interior, turned out great. I kinda wanna do my entire hood. "It has some rock chips.. and i dont wanna paint it yet"... Soo any thoughts on using red carbon fiber vinyl, and it will match my interior?
heres my car

dont do it, personally i dont like carbon fiber on black just looks a little odd. Specially not wrapped, if anything just buy a hood. They run as low as mid 400s shipped and looks 10x better then the cheap wrap.

I hate when people wrap the exterior in cf, it just looks cheap. CF should be reserved for interior only. I might be able to get on board with a matte black hood, a member here did it and it didn't look terrible.

My roof is wrapped cf, I like it overall, but don't love how it looks matte in certain light conditions. A hood would look fake in cf. If they made a real cf roof cap, I would have done that.

I wrapped my hood when I bought the car and kept it for about 7 months but then I went and resprayed my hood, nothing like a sexy black car when all the paint I corrected. (Previous owner I believe had cars because the hood was fucked with minor scratches over engine area of hood where it would be nice and warm for a cat; bought the car in an auction so I didn't see much from far back)

As an installer, I do everything I can to talk guys out of wrapping anything in CF on the outside of the car. It looks fake and takes away from the classy look these cars have. If you want to shoot your car from straight on and see what it would look like with a red hood, I could quickie photoshop it for you. If you like it, wrap it in red gloss vinyl. But please, no CF.

used your pic above and did a real fast overlay. didn't soften it up or blend it in to match the pic. just giving you a really rough idea of what it would look like in red. Not my cup of tea, but it may be the look you are going for
