noob oil change question!
hello i KNOW this may be a dumb question but i just changed my oil and after i drained the oil i tried to remove the filter cap but couldnt all the stores are closed so i poured in the new oil with out removing and swapping filters.. can anything happen?

nothing will happen you will be fine. if you cant find a tool, use a strap wrench.

You have to go to the dealer and get the new filter registered. But their computers will detect that the oil install took place on a different date than the filter. Then they will void your warranty. You are screwed.

It is not recommended but you're fine changing the filter after a few days. The only real risk you run into is that the old (dirty) filter will contaminate your fresh oil a bit. There are no registration for filters or oil and if you are under warranty I guess you do not want to reset the service indicator either.

Swap out the filter and the two o-rings. As the prior post mentioned you need a stratp wrench (http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...5C&FORM=IQFRBA) You can get a combo for cheap at Harbor Freight.
