My 335i lease battle

Ok so many of you are probaly familiar with my deal and whatnot. If not here goes.
Very bad experience with the dealer and started working out lease prices this week. We started out at 2300 down 830 a month 10k miles 36 mo lease. Then we were at 4500 750 a month 10k 36mo. Then they said that was wrong so 4500 would leave me at about 775. Then we got to 712 with 6200 down. Then they said that was wrong then we got to 744 12k 36mo 6200. Now i knew somethign fishy was going on. I called a very good friend in another dealer and asked whats going on. I was told let me call you right back. He called me back and said i can get you into this car for 650 a month with 6k down. If they can match it go with them if not you are welcome here. So i called and started a new battle first we went to 695 i said NO. Then they called back 685 i said NO. The most i am willing to pay is 680 flat thats it end of discussion. And they did not want me to pay 680. They fougth and fought and fought for about an hour for 5 dollors. Finally i get the call 680 a month 6185 total due at signing and thats that. Pick the car up thursday!

Congradulations on getting a new car.

Don't total it though. You'll get hammered. Even though you'll have gap insurance, it'll only get paid to the financial institution not you. That's why it's typically not too finanically wise to put money down on a lease.

+1

Is there a particular reason that you are putting so much money down? Typically this is not advisable for a lease.

Geesh.. What is the negotiated price of the car? What is the MF? I put $1000 down on a $46.5K car and pay $740/mo on a 36mo 10K mi/yr lease. Although, that was a year ago.

That is a KILLER deal. Any more detailed terms like residual, MF and year of the vehicle?

whell we cannot compare deals to other deals because the mf right now is .00235 unlike the old .00200 and the residual is 60. But i am not going with the 650 because then i will need to wait another 6 weeks and order the car again and id rather jsut pay 30 more a month then do that.

P.S. it feels great since my msrp is 53045 about 5k difference
P.P.S 2200 is fees 2400 is taxes so thats only about 1400 DOWN on the car itself

OoOOo and i got tire and rim insurance(3k worth) a must in NYC

So at the end of the day 680 a month isn't the best but i didnt get it in the ass

hey ballzz, ive been commuting to the bronx this past month, i feel like an idiot for not getting that tire/rim insurance package. These roads SUCK! its like driving through a war zone. im scared to check the tires for bubbles. I haven't looked at deals recently, but it looks like MF went up from 185 back in May.

A bunch of idiots read the details read the msrps read the high MF which i cannot change and then see how good your statements are. And yes the rim and tire package is a must.

Wow, this reminds me of that reality tv show where the dealer cons one customer after another, to the point where the guy is the king of Las Vegas car sales. It's like the customer is working against himself and helping the salesperson (I'm not paying a penny more than $680! Meanwhile on the website it says $579, for example). All about a monthly payment...

The best way to objectively compare "deals" is to figure out how much of a discount you got on your car. You cant just throw your deal out here without specifics (lease term, MF, residual, tax, down payments, etc). you can work your way backward using the monthly payment and figure it out.

at the end of the day i payed about 600 over invoice just because i bought the car at a bad time with high MF isnt my fault
