What are people's views - I have a set of BMW 313M alloys from my 330d LCI which I have replaced with a 'new' set from BMW direct.

Now, do I sell the 'old' alloys with light scuffs and tyres with between 4-6mm of tread - or refurbish first via Lepsons ? The refurb is about £450

Obviously they are going to be worth a whole lot more refurbed but it the difference enough to bother given they are not too bad ... ?

It depends how bad they are I guess.

With those tyres and in new "refurbed" condition you should get £1000 to £1200.

Don't forget we paid £1600 with new tyres and brand new wheels with BMW 2 year warranty

I sold my newly refurbed MV4's with nearly new conto sports for £850 in the end as I wanted some space and cash back.

What do you think they are worth as is? If you think you could get £600-£700 then is it worth the hassle

However I personally would not buy scruffy wheels

Id say refurb as people will be put off by the hassle of getting it sorted plus they will be concerned whether a refurb will correct them completely. You doing it saves their hassle and takes the risk out of their purchase...plus they will be that more enticing to more people

I'd say sell as is.

Some people seem to be happy with small scuffs.

There is a few sets kicking around for £800-900 that sound similar to yours.

I can't see you getting £1250-1350 for refurbished items when you can get delivery miles wheels for £1550.

BMW have devalued these wheels badly with all these cheap sets.

I agree with gaza on this one. I'd be wary of purchasing a set of wheels that required refurbishment.

i dont think you will be able to get your money back by doing a refurb... unless you can get it done for cheap lol... but you will be able to sell them easier... after bmw did this 313 half price thing, there's really no point...

Looking at them pics I don't think its worth getting a refurb, their not that bad. How much are you asking for them?

Still working on that - haven't got a proper idea yet. I will have to come up with a price and put them in the right section

They are not that bad at all, a lot of people would live with that.

You may be able to get a dent master chap to do some local improvement to the damaged areas rather than a full refurb and then you will get a higher price.

The marks are minor on the wheels. I would say they are still in very good condition. Try selling them as they are but price them knowing that someone may want to refurb them...

Me too - would rather see genuine condition rather than a refurb that could potentially be hiding all sorts.
