Will a E90 CCC screen work in an E60?

Is the CCC screen from a E90 able to be used in a E60? Sold one on eBay and the guy is saying it doesn't work properly; screen display is off centre and the sat nav won't come up but everything else does, but off-centre..

Now, he used to have non-widescreen CCC in his E60 and has used my screen to upgrade. Is that the issue and it needs to coded or is there a bigger problem?

He also mentioned he doesn't yet have the DVD for the sat-nav but did suggest the car never had sat nav. If you have iDrive, even non-widescreen, you still had sat nav, correct? Or is it possible to have iDrive without nav.

Thanks and sorry for all the questions.

For sure he'll need the proper ccc unit too, not just the screen

8.8" screens for E60 and E90 are identical. However, in order to have navigation in an E60, which was not previously equipped with navigation, the head unit must also be replaced. The head unit in an E60 is not the same as the head unit in an E90.

It is not correct to assume that if you have iDrive, even non-widescreen, you still had sat nav. Factory installed head unit must be replaced with the CIC head unit.
