lowering question

ok ive asked this question a few times and have read up on it a bit. I am hoping for some input on what the best way to get a 1" drop would be. Many people say just get springs, others are saying coilovers, and i recently read a post that said BMW Performance Suspension Version 1 (struts and shocks only) along with the Eibach ProKits and front lowering perches.

Hoping you guys can give me a good direction to look into going. Also i have the VMR V710's

front: 18x8.5 et 35
rear: 18x9.5 et 33
tire combo: 235/265

I am not sure if having 18's makes a difference in how much i should drop the beamer or not.

Eibach prokit drop is VERY similar to the stock setup, if you are looking for something more agressive I would look at a different option.

Get coils. No point to get springs and need to change it out later. If money is not a problem get bags. They are the best all around suspension. I have all three and I must say I will never change my bags.

Just coils? What is a good brand to look at?
