if you mean the port was damaged then I doubt it is very hard to fix. they are universal ports...
you can use CDs, or if your car is built after september of 2009 and you have Idrive you can stream via bluetooth.

you can buy a bluetooth gateway. Plugs into your aux port into your car and syncs to your phone, assuming you have one that has bluetooth capabilities. It'll run you about $40-50 for a decent one. I was debating this, but the aux cable hasn't bothered me enough yet

If you have your phone set up through BT then click on CD then your phone. You have to have BT audio checked off then you can stream through any app like BMW Connect, Spotify, Pandora, MOG, iTunes Radio etc...

Buy a Blackberry Music Gateway (no you don't need a BB to use it). It's quite awesome. Only negative thing about it is that once you turn off the car the song doesn't stop/pause and you have to manually do it on the phone. Sure it only takes a second but sometimes you forget when you're distracted talking to someone and the song would keep playing silently. My previous Belkin device didn't have that issue though but I ditched it because it would have pairing issues later in its use.

If his Aux-in is jacked up somehow, this doesn't help him.

If you read his title, it says his AUX cable is damaged, not the port.
If you read his post, it says his AUX chord, not the port...

so yes, it does help him....

To be fair, it is ridiculously unclear exactly what is damaged, but I'm operating under the assumption that if it's actually the cable, replacing it costs next to nothing and is an obvious, easy fix.
