Devils own progressive controller fried

I have been running a DO DVC-30 progressive controller for about a month. Everything was looking great. Then under normal (no boost inducing) driving I noticed the controllers green led was on (meth flowing) and the car choked out producing severe misfires. I removed the pump fuse, waited awhile and reset all parameters. After a few minutes, all was normal again. This happened twice.

Then while cleaning the car inside, I could smell an electrical burn. The controllers leds were on and meth tank nearly emptied (after just filling it, smh). Yep, all 2 gallons were now in my charge pipe/intercooler.

I removed the CP, emptied the meth out, siphoned out the IC, and ran the car in order to use the turbos to push out the rest. All is well now.

All this to ask if anyone has had similar issues with DO controllers and whether or not you trusted a replacement. I like using meth but I also like not having to worry about killing my engine because of a faulty part.

Which tune is controlling it? Shouldn't the fail safe prevent this from happening?

You're lucky you didn't hydrolock it. What size nozzles were you spraying with?

The car was completely off. The procede will de-tune if a fault is triggered, it does not switch meth on/off. Only the controller does this and in this case it shorted on.

DO10. Indeed, thank God it didn't happen while driving.

Don't even bother with the progressive controller it is useless to use on this platform.

Get a straight up manual boost switch and set it to come on 8 PSI full blast and call it a day.

(seriously)

After running it awhile i noticed the same thing. Its pretty useless if its milliseconds between start/max flow. The only thing I really want in the end is an indication of flow (independent of the procede) and a meth disable switch. Do you have a universal application like that Jeff?

I'm not sure if I know what the encompasses all of that.
There are universal gauges from AEM for instance though.

Honestly I've felt that less is more with a lot of methanol stuff.
