Like to get the JB4. Anything else I should get?

Hi Guys. New to the forum and been reading up on mods for our cars. I got a 2007 335i, stock form, 108k, original turbos. Just got the HPFP, Water pump, fuel injectors, gaskets replaced recently. I intend to upgrade the turbos down the road. I like to just get the JB4. Do I need to get anything else with the JB4 or can I just leave everything stock from there. My intention is to get a little bit more power and still be as reliable as possible? should I upgrade my intake and/or exhaust too? Thanks in advance.

You can leave it stock other then jb4, but if you add DCI, & down pipes you tend to get a lil more out of your tune.

Get a drop in filter and as #teambimmer mentioned a USB cable to stay up to date.

I'm sure you will go FBO down the road once you add the JB4

I always recommend the JB4 with USB and DCI/Drop-in. Great starting point. The intake is not needed but helps, but the USB is one thing I always recommend It just has so much functionality and well worth the modest 30.00 price tag.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah. Love this car, even with the headaches. It just works for me at this time.

So I'll get the JB4 and the USB, and maybe with DCI. With the DCI, do I need to tune it or with the JB4 it's just plug and play?

Can I purchase JB4 from one of the support vendors here or do I go to Burgers site?

thanks guys

It's plug in play, so basically no tuning is needed especially with only a DCI

Btw, Map 5 on the JB4 is auto tuning.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I was just checking out some of the bundles offered by different vendors for the upcoming Black Friday sale...these would be right up my alley if I were in your shoes. Plus, Jeff is a great guy to work with:

Forgot to address the exhaust question. I think it's been pretty well documented that the stock exhaust on our cars is VERY UNrestrictive given up to about 500 rwhp or so. So, if your considering the exhaust as a performance mod, think again. The money is spent for more of an exotic exhaust note - maybe a few extra ponies but nothing considerable. On the other hand, the stock exhaust is very heavy. I think the HPF I bought saved me about 40 pounds or so over the stock.

On the exhaust side, the DPs is where you'll make power.

screw the jb4, get OFT and ask wedge performance to hook u up with a tune, u'll be making way over 400 hp if u get DPs and put E85, he's pro ask him & a really good guy spends time with you to explain everything (wedgeperformance@gmail.com)

Thanks for the shout out!

We are always willing to help new tuners their first time out. (and in the future of course too).

It can be a little overwhelming reading all of the opinions and with so many options people can sometimes lose track of what is important to them from their car and the tune.

We always recommend a new tuner to call in so we can go over all the goals you have with your vehicle.
