What is limp mode and how do i fix it

It might be a stupid question but i am sumwhat new to bmw. Can someone plsz help

limp mode is a mode your car goes into that cuts off/reduces power so you don't cause any further damage to your drive train when there is an underlying issue. You get rid of it by determining what is wrong with your car and whats causing it to go into limp mode, go to your dealer and get your codes read would probably be the place to start if you do have an issue.
