Dimensions of storage compartment?

Does anyone know the dimensions of the storage compartment in the trunk? I'm planning on putting some extra batteries in there and I would have to take my box out to measure it.

If someone can measure this for me I would appreciate it. The way I have my trunk setup its not easy to get to.
