Help needed:Boost Gauge
Just ordered a Prosport boost gauge and i have three questions to the few members who have boost gauges.
1. Where did you tap into to get the boost reading, the intake manifold or by the solenoids? 2. Where did you get the voltage supply from? 3. How did you run the wires into the cabin. FYI:I searched but came up with nothing helpful. |

Voltage supply can be had from any number of places; from under center console tapping the cigarette lighter, from the fuse box using a taper, and a few more random wires under the dash. There is a rubber grommet under the driver side, it opens into the engine bay, you have to take off the black waterproof cover to get to it. |

2. I used the OBD socket to get power and ground (i have a dynotune digital guage). again a very easy place to find switched power 3. If you take the drivers side pannel down under the steering column there is a rubber grommet that goes through the fire wall - just poke through one of the open spaces and run your wires.

thats a stupid comment. When you mod a turbo car a boost gauge is important.
Anyway, i got the gauge installed and it was working, but i didnt tighten the clamp for the pod and on my 2nd test drive the gauge tipped and stopped working. i have power but the needle wont move off 25 in hg. i have 12 volts to the gauge, a solid soddered ground connection, continuity from the sensor to the gauge( its an electronic boost gauge) and all the boost lines are connected. Someone please help cuz im getttin really pisssed! |
