Inspection in Rhode Island

Sorry if I posted in wrong section. Need to inspect my car and being in Rhode Island any tint is illegal so I need help. It's only 35% so not too dark. Called up the tint place, who told me if I ever had any issues they could get me someone, they told me manager who told me that is no longer there and they can't help... Been shot down at a few places so if anyone in the area has any info please pm didn't want to have to remove tint. Thanks

They won't pass your car because tint is illegal in your state. They wouldn't pass your car if you had a bald tire either because that is illegal too. I don't see what the problem is here.

So, when you bought the tint the tint shop told you they could get your car inspected... and you believed them? Now you're asking here if there's anyone that knows a shop that will pass your illegal car?

A shop could get in some serious trouble for doing that, I don't think you'll find one easily. You'll probably have to pull at least your front tint off to get through inspection.

These guys ^^ are haters; you'll find someone. Wouldn't count on anybody posting their favorite shop in this thread though - they certainly can get in trouble.

Lol thanks. I know it was illegal. I am prepared to remove it if I need to. But damn it's just friggin tint. I wouldn't want anyone to blow up their spot so if anyone knows of any places and could pm me I would appreciate it.

Not haters dipshit, he's asking a shop to illegally pass his car. They can loose their inspection certification for that.

Thanks for the education "doc", I guess you're the expert. On the other hand, I get my cars passed - but I'm a dipshit, so who knows.

I just roll in with my front windows down, normally they don't say anything and inspection passed!

Although i don't drop off the car i am with them the whole time and this is also in NH not RI.

Exactly. Windows down!

35% is illegal in RI? Hardcore. I think thats legal in MA and we are absurd with inspections. I was just in Florida and every car is blacked out, you'd think they are painted black.

I have had 35% or darker on all of my vehicles that I have ever owned, and have taken them to a whole bunch of different inspection stations in MA and nobody has EVER said anything to me about the tint, ever. Or the lack of catalytic converters, or aftermarket exhausts, or anything.

Most independent shops that do inspections aren't as strict as the state says they should be.
