Production Complete (10/19)...Car still sitting in Factory!

Gahhhh...this is so frustrating. Production was complete on my car last Friday (10/19), but it's still sitting at the factory "waiting to be released to the carrier". What gives? I've heard about it sitting at the port for a week but never waiting to be release to the carrier for a week. After this, I'll still have to wait for it to load on the train, be taken to the port, AND THEN wait at the port!

I've talked to the BMW NA 800# people the past 3 days, and they keep telling me the same thing. I think they know i'm calling them, or at least their system shows how many times my number calls them, because the person I spoke to today asked me if I had called about the status yesterday!

I totally understand now what people were saying about this being the hardest part of the waiting process. It was much easier when the automated message told me exactly when production was going to be complete.

Anybody else in the same position, or am I the only one? I've looked at the Bremerhaven schedule and the next ships leave 11/1 for Port Hueneme.

Well I finished production on 10/18, a day before you and I am on VEGA Leader that left two days ago, headed for the west coast? Have you called your CA and asked him for the most up-to-date info.

Mine is en-route to port. Finished production on 10/24.

Looking at the VIN#, it's coming from Leipzig.

I already sent my CA an email last night, but he hasn't responded yet.

It's just making me really frustrated when others have already gotten their cars shipped to the port, and even sailing on a boat with approx. the same production completion date.

I had to wait over a week before i got on to a ship. no worries, just have a bit of patience (easier said then done, I know!)
