Looking for a shop or member who can install my downpipes, it's an e92 with an N54. I've gotten 3 quotes so far, and they all want over 6 hours of shop time.

It seems like, from what I've read and all the DIY's, it should take 2-3 hrs. I would prefer to do it myself, as I've never let anyone work on my cars before. But, I don't have a garage anymore, so I'll have to sit in the lobby and pout as someone else touches my baby....

So, if anyone knows a place in the Seattle area it would be appreciated, thanks!

Today I am actually taking my DPs off so I can renew my tags by the end of the month. I'm also uninstalling everything else for my winter setup and mainly because I'm bored.

If you're interested, I can help you install them or I can do all the work. About a month or so ago I helped out another forum member on here install his DPs. Took me about 3 hours or so with a couple breaks. He paid me $140? for the install including gas because I'm coming from spanaway. I might be free next weekend. :

Or if you want to DIY, it's pretty easy. You'll need a floor jack, jack stands, rhino ramps and a decent set of tools. If you need any help just ask.

Check out Self-Serve Garage in Kent. They have lifts, tools, and charge $20/hour. I go there to work on my car.

Thanks for thw offer, Pmed you... Doing it at my place isn't possible, no garage or driveway, and most of my tools are in storage back in Utah.

Thought I would let people know...
I did this a few weeks ago at the self-serve garage in Kent. The place was pretty clean and was a lot cheaper to rent a bay with a lift than I was expecting; $20/hr. I could have used a 8mm geared wrench to get off the second mount bolt, but I made it work. All done, it took me just over 3hrs and that was with the time spent bsing with the guy redoing bumpers on his e28 in the bay next to me. With the right tools, this is probably a 2hr job, not as difficult as I was expecting after all the shops said 6hrs...
