FS: BMW Style 197 - Staggered 18x8 and 18x8.5 OEM 3 Series Sport Package Wheels
Up for sale is a set of staggered BMW OEM Style 197 wheels. To be upfront, two of the wheels have minor bends, and a third has a decent sized bend that is repairable according to the guys over at Wheel-Tech (RimRepairCenter) in Illinois, the other wheels is very straight (as straight as a circle can be ). Their pricing estimates it would be $390 to have the wheels perfectly straight again. I bought these from another e90post member in February who had them professionally packed and shipped to me. They have been sitting in my garage since then, mostly because I haven't had the spare money to get the rims straightened, powder coated, plus the cost of tires. Specs: (link) BMW OEM Style 197 Front wheels are 18x8, offset 34, 5-120 Rear wheels are 18x8.5, offset 37, 5-120 The first photos of the wheels show the wheel damage, which as mentioned, can be repaired and balanced. A good shop should be able to confirm this. The other three photos show one of the wheels as well as the packaging that they've been in for about 10 months. I'm asking $300. Local pickup is fine. I will ship them out anywhere in the contiguous US, but shipping will be fairly expensive at about $150. You can view my 100% positive eBay feedback HERE. My goal is to make sure you know exactly what you're getting. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll do my best to answer. Sorry for the delayed response. The wheels have been sitting in my garage in the boxes that they were shipped to me in for the past year, and I don't remember off-hand which wheels are bent. I have contacted the previous owner requesting info on which wheels have bends. I unfortunately have not had the time or the expendable cash to have them repaired, so that is the reason why they've been sitting around. If the previous owner doesn't have the answer, I'll unpack the wheels and find out for you. As soon as I find out which wheels have bends, I'll be sure to send you another reply. Thanks, Colin |

They have their prices listed on their website here. I think it will be about $390 to have the 3 wheels straightened and balanced, YMMV |

To all interested,
I haven't yet heard back from the original seller on which wheels are bent, so I took it upon myself to try and find out. I unboxed all of the wheels today and took a look. I can verify that one of the rear (18x8.5) wheels and one of front (18x8) wheels have bends visible with my eyes. The original seller stated that 3 of the wheels are bent (only one has a major bend). I tried my hardest to find the third bent wheel, but was unable to, as the other two look very straight. I am definitely not a professional, so take this as it is Here are some photos of the wheels I took just a few minutes ago. I tried to show the visible bends as best as I could. |
