Need help w 6FL retrofit.

I have an e92 with phone prep 620 and navigation 609 and trying to retrofit the 6FL (USB &Bluetooth).

- I transferred the white phone prep block inner cables directly over to the blue MULF2-Hi Unit (this is an assumption this is correct - if not please let me know)
- I added $644 and $6FL to my VO (CAS & NFRM) and then did a blank MAN to the CIC
- I updated the MOST ring based on the BMW instructions.
- connected antenna cable to MULF (white casing w purple top connector)

So this is where the problems come. I can see BT on my nav, but it wont activate (keeps thinking). NSC shows MUL2 listed, but i cannot read. Also tool32 gives a similar error - cannot connect to module.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you changed the Vin of mulf2?
And do you get the light on mulf connector?

you dont need to change the vin on the mulf.
Do an SG Reset on the mulf and you should be good. That worked for me.

The reset should work even though you cant read the mulf in ncs. If you cant reset the MULF, you need updated daten files.

Ive never done a SG Reset before. What does this do? Does this apply to all modules or would it get stuck w MULF2 within NCS if using a DCAN?

Can you highlight the steps for this?

SG Reset resets the module, like turning it off and turning it on again. It DOESNT format anything. No data will be lost. In NCS, change the job to SG Reset. Change the ECU to MULF2 and execute. If the mulf resets, your phone will now pair, although if you have an e90, you will still most likely have to rewire the mic. Not hard though. You can do it with a DCAN.

ok cool... will give it a try tonight. I also noticed that my voice control is not working once i added 6FL and 644. I assume it is because it is trying to route to the MULF to handle now. Hopefully that works again, once i get this all sorted.

Yup. U lost voice control most likely because you need to repin the mic. Reset the mulf first. The if ur phone connects but people can't hear you you will have to repin the mic.

Where do you repin the mic?
at the mulf level or at the front of the car?

Front of the car under the passenger side dash. Behind the glove compartment.
