Need advice asap... from 08 to 09 335i coupe
Hey guys. Went in for oil change service today, dealer is offering me trade-in on a 2009 335i coupe with 47k miles with extended CPO warranty and extended maintenance until 1/2015. Wanna keep this short, as I need to make a decision today if I go through with it. They are offering full payoff of 21000 on my current 2008 335i coupe (which I bought about a month ago for 21500) with 65k miles on it, which CPO ends 5/2014. The car is basically the same as mine, BSM, sport package, premium package, with addition of NAV/idrive, they are selling it to me for 28000. My monthly payments would go from $404 to $560ish (60month) or 460ish (72month). Do i do this? It seems to be a big jump in payments for NOT much more car, but the longer CPO/maintenance is good. Or do I keep the current 08 335i for a long time out of warranty?

$8000 to go up one year? No way...spend $3k and buy a good warranty that'll go be beyond May 2014. You should never have payments on a car after the warranty expires - that kind of thing can get you in financial trouble.

I wouldn't do it for one year newer. a 2010 + probably, but not a 2009.
