e90 Aircon

hi,
this might seem like a stupid question, but how effective is the aircon generally in a 08 335i?

My family car is a 2010 ford territory & that thing pumps out heaps of cold air - it never struggles. my other car 08 mazda 2 is in comparison 'ok' & im sure its doing its best.

I know its hard to generalise, but how have you other aussies found the aircon performance/reliability?

reason i ask, is that I'm considering a black e90

thanks

do you ever find it too cold on a really hot day - after driving for quite a while?

thats how my territory is & I'm hoping the e90 is the same.

thanks

Yes you will be fine - I was in a suit on Saturday for work, when it was around 40 deg and the air con kept me pretty cool

I found mine ok, but not great compared to my R33 or my parent's old Camry.

I found it never gets into the same 'coldness' level during a typical 40+ deg C day in WA compared to the Camry which if you leave it in max it would get freezing inside the car (& just the way I like it).

Euro A/C is often not as good as local A/C

I frequently used Max on very hot days to get a blast of colder air - you will find also that recirc (not the auto setting but 100% recirculation) will cool your car quicker like any car

I found my e90 aircon to be rubbish (much like my old e36 actually) so i had it regassed, it wasnt that low and there were no leaks. Not satisfied I took it back to BMS Auto..... they said the car didnt have the warm climate software installed for some reason. After reloading the software the air has been fine.

by the way my car is SGM with 5% window tint, hope that helps
