Exhaust flap error
Hi,
I cleared the codes from my engine (N52 on a 2006 330xi) last night and then went for a drive. When I returned I had a single error when reading MSV70. It has to do with my exhaust flap apparently (I google translated): 2F6C Abgasklappe, Ansteuerung (which means exhaust flap, electronically reversible) Anyone know what this is about? I searched and found nothing. Thanks! Mike |

check solenoid connection below taillight connections on rear driver's side (behind cover), also verify vacuum connection and make sure someone didn't place a bb or similar in it to make it inop on purpose.
If you unplug connector and apply 12v to the solenoid the exhaust flap should close

ok, I verified the previous owner must have removed the connection behind the cover in the boot. I plugged it back in. Tomorrow I will clear the code and make sure it doesn't come back. Thanks for your help! Mike

Just to put this to bed, I cleared the code, went for a drive, and then checked the engine error memory. No codes! Hopefully the previous owner didn't do any other silly mods
