What do you think? Exhaust Mod

So completely randomly this just popped in my head.

What do you guys think about putting in a "Y" pipe after the headers, single pipe all the way back into my AA exhaust?

technically yes, but I was planning to use it on my car. The specifications for the merger should be nearly similar to the N52, with the only difference being the pipe spacing. I'm selling it to raise money for more mods.

Good luck buying the collector, Burns will give you a better price if you can give them the specs and get a Group buy going. Or you could just buy mine.

he'd have to keep all 4 cats to pass the visual test. In CA, you can't modify the factory emissions system, which has 4 cats in our cars.

Now weather or not the smog tech actually checks everything under the car, is a different subject but if your car sounds like it has a modified exhaust, they are probably more likely to check.

but he's in NC, so he probably has nothing to worry about.

Yes.

Unless you don't keep up with regular service intervals that is...

They started this new(ish) program here in Colorado a few years ago where you drive by roadside smog testing vans that use cameras to tag you smog signature to your license plate. I haven't had to visit a single smog station since they introduced the roadside testing. I get a slip in the mail every year saying my car passed the sniffer and I have the exact same mods as you do.
