LCI Junction Box Electronics retrofit on Pre LCI + coding ?

Anybody tried this on Pre LCI car?
I wonder if it will work without any rewiring on JBE connectors?
I don't want my car to go up in flames or make a terrible mess..

My goal with this is OEM paddle shift in D mode and OEM heated steering wheel retrofit. I already have a lot of parts but still need a few more like slip ring and new cable between switch unit and JBE.

If your car is pre 03-07, then you will have to change the most of the wirings.

If its after 03/07, then I am under the impression that there are no major changes in the wiring.

Do you have any instructions for heated steering wheel retrofit?
In UK, no option to have heated steering wheel on E9x or at least not to my knowledge.

I have found no DIY or instructions regarding the heating wheel (option 248) but I found some part numbers in realoem.com. I already bought the complete sport steering wheel with heating + paddles from the US.

This is what I think I need to buy in addition to the new wheel.
61319169763 switchunit for 521/544/248 or perhaps only LCI clock spring with cable for heating
61119186522 instrument panel cable for 248 (or I can steal power from somewhere else?)
61319174346 lower steering column cover (to fit switch)
61319143639 heated steering switch
61319217865 heated steering electronic cable (recommended to change due to problems with heating)
32306777641 airbag wiring (recommended to change when refitting)

I might also need to replace Junction Box, not sure about it.

any update on this? my e92 is a 2007 e92 and the jbe production date is 03/07. i have successfully retrofitted lci paddles but they wont shift in d mode only working in ds mode like a few other people here. im thinking the solution maybe in the jbe, my jbe has L1 printed the top. ive noticed that others have either L1 L2 L3, H1 H2 H3 PRINTED. could it be that we require the H(HI) model for paddle shifters?

i remember other modules like the mulf having hi and low version and the hi version was needed for bluetooth retrofits etc. anyone have any thoughts?
