Tough Call- Order or PreOwned

So I was all set to order an 08 328xi coupe manual Black w/ Coral Red, sport package and ipod integration. First car with a budget- I figured I'd skip the premium and buy a garmin to use for bluetooth and navigation. I have a connection at a dealership so I'd get something less than $1000 over invoice.

I found a listing online for a Black on Red 07 manual fully loaded, premium, idrive, sport. With 22,800 miles in excellent condition. Dealers asking $39,288 and there's still some room.

So it looks like the prices will be about the same- given the situation what should I do?

imho that's high miles for an '07. Options are not worth much to me used, on anyone for that matter over time, so I'd rather order and have my own new car, even with less features. 4 miles stripped > 22,800 miles loaded

+1

And yeah, 22,800 is way over average. Must have been a really early '07 bought in fall '06...or did they have the xi when they first came out? They need to be discounting the crap out of that car.

"excellent condition" lol were you sitting in the passager seat with him for the 22,800 miles?? i am handing in a g35 12 month lease in a few weeks and i feel TERRIBLE for who ever buys this car... and it only has 15k miles on it... and its probably equal to a car with about 150,000 miles on it cause i beat the piss out of it... i def got my moneys worth...

Is the used one certified? If it is, they have to make sure it's just about like brand new. Also you get a much longer warranty and don't have to worry about the 65K miles "blues" which is when things really can start to go wrong.

I wish I could practice what I preach. I never buy used, go with the new one.
